When the cat is away... - 2

Well, we are almost two weeks further now, so I thought that I better write another blog entry.

Everything is going well here (we are still surviving at least). Of course we miss the girls a lot, but we speak with them regularly (thank you Skype). As far as my list is concerned I thought that I better give you an update on that.

* I thought I had all seasons on Battlestar Galactica on DVD, but it turned out that I only had season 1 and half of season 2 (there are four seasons in total). And not only did my DVD stop in the middle of a season, it also stopped right, slap bang, in the middle of a double episode. I have since then located the second half of season 2 and are working on seasons 3 and 4, however that means I won't finish watching all seasons before the girls return.
* Most of the time I am so tired in the evening that I can't be bothered to bake naan bread, so I see if I get around to doing that.
* We have been to the restaurant a few times en I have tried a few items on the menu, but I have to say that I think we have already tried the best ones.
* I have watched '24' season 7 , en even though it was better than I expected I have to say that Battlestar Galactica is more realistic. ;-)
* The house is still pretty clean, but it is more work than I expected it to be.

So, 2 out of 5, not bad, but now it is time for me to go. Only six more days, so the end is insight.

When the cat is away...

Well, I am on my own with the boys for three weeks. Sarah is gone to the wedding of a friend and because it is so far away she will stay there for a while. Grace has gone with her, so it is me and the boys here. We dropped them off at the airport at 16:00 yesterday and already miss them greatly. However I am trying to see it as an opportunity, so I have decided to make a list of things I want to do while Sarah is away, things I would not necessarily do when she would be here. So far this is my list:
  • Watch all seasons of 'Battlestar Galactica'
  • See if I can manage to find a decent recipe for naan bread that will work at altitude
  • Try some of the spicy and garlic laden dishes in the restaurant at the bottom of our hill
  • Watch season 7 of '24'
  • Keep the house clean
As a side note on the last point: the house is normally very clean, but that is not my doing, so the challenge here is for me to keep it clean.

I will update the list when I think of something else and try to keep you posted on my progress while working my way through it.
